The objectives of each MTEL test clearly outline the content that will be examined, organized into major content subareas.
The tests evaluate the proficiency and depth of understanding of the subjects at a level comparable to a baccalaureate major, following Massachusetts academic standards. Candidates who take these tests are generally in the final stages of their undergraduate program or have recently completed their undergraduate education.
